Sense of Impending Doom

from Disposition by Existential Dread

/

lyrics

Have you ever seen the walls around you closing in?
With no escape, you’ve no control, your mind has left, the pressure wins.

As you stare into space you see your mind betray you as the future disappears,
Your consciousness travels into a world where there all things you love are simultaneously destroyed,
Your sense of self importance rises as you lose your future,
Your mind is tethered to the darkness swarming from your cryptic core,

Listening to the voice inside uttering the words you wish weren’t spoken,
Bellowing out this bitter undying plea for cease of pitied existence,

Breathing gets harder,
Beating gets faster,
Tired eyes and laughter,

You regain your consciousness as they stare at your pale face,
The fear inside your eyes is telling of your chosen fate,
A glance to each of them is enough with increasing pace,
Breathing can’t keep up the blood it won’t oxygenate,
But there is no telling of when it will happen the process is out your hands,
If only your hell it would come and then drag you until it could meet your demands,
The devil is coming, is running, upon it you’ll lie as it spits at your feet,
The only thing stopping your corpse from it’s rotting is admitting defeat,
